Sovereign Housing Association has now appointed BDT to commence the marketing of a floor which is surplus to requirements in their new regional office headquarters on the Basing View business area.
Formerly known as The Florence Building, but now renamed “Sovereign House”, the 4th floor comprising 12,555 sq ft (1,166 sq m) is being released and will be offered with 39 car spaces. BDT will market the self-contained floor on new flexible sublease terms, with break clause options available if required.
With a spate of marketing activity on Basing View earlier in the year, the opportunity is thought to be the only existing Grade A office space of more than 10,000 sq ft currently available in central Basingstoke. Richard Thomas at BDT commented; “This is now a unique opportunity – prime offices over a single floor plate in a central location, offered on flexible lease terms. Despite new challenges in the office market, we anticipate early interest and will be quoting a rent of £28.00 per sq ft”.
The total supply of Basingstoke’s existing Grade A office space is estimated at 115,000 sq ft, and with the exception of Sovereign House this supply is located entirely out of town within 2 principal business parks.
