Columbia Threadneedle completed the refurbishment of all common parts and three vacant office suites in Building 2200 Renaissance on Basing View last autumn. Morgan Lovell were employed to refresh and upgrade the Millennium-built office building.
Consequently two of the three vacant office areas – a total of 9,660 sq ft – have been let, and the remaining space comprises a smaller suite of 1,835 sq ft.
STERIS Solutions Ltd have entered into two new leases on the building, signing into new 10 year terms with 5th year break options with a stepped rental arrangement averaging over £20.00 per sq ft during the first 5 years. In a reflection of a trend towards re-urbanisation, they will be relocating staff from their present offices on Viables Business Park, favouring more immediate access to the Waterloo rail service.

STERIS are an American owned life science/healthcare company, producing a mix of sterilisation and surgical products, services and medical devices. They are headquartered in Leicester here in the UK but have employed staff in Basingstoke for the last 20 years or more.
The letting reflects continued and healthy demand for quality product on the Basing View business area. Other ongoing transactions in Matrix House and Midpoint will further reduce Grade A supply levels, paving the way for a timely refurbishment of the Mountbatten House building and potentially the speculative funding of one or more brand new office schemes.
