Columbia Threadneedle have announced the letting of Building 1100 at Renaissance, Basing View, Basingstoke. The fully refurbished, detached property of 12,280 sq ft has been let to local software company Infosum Ltd.
The transaction takes the occupancy rate at Renaissance back to 95%, with other tenants including Unum, STERIS, Adtran and Hays Recruitment.
Infosum were founded in 2015 and are backed by American financiers, part of Jupiter Asset Management. Within their industry they are widely regarded as being one of the fastest growing “scale-up” technology companies in the Thames Valley region.
The parties have signed a new 10 year lease with a tenant only break option after the 5th year. A stepped rental agreement averages £24.00 per sq ft and “market level” incentives remain undisclosed.
BDT and Hollis Hockley represented Columbia Threadneedle, whilst Infosum were advised by London based Simon Korn Ltd. Richard Thomas of BDT commented that the letting puts further pressure on what are already depleted office supply levels on Basing View and within central Basingstoke generally.
