Hermes Real Estate has announced a further letting at The Loddon Centre in Basingstoke, following completion of their refurbishment plans on the estate.
The latest of the five deals which have now been concluded since the Asset Management team assumed control of the estate, has seen Habitech Ltd sign up on a new 10 year lease term for Unit K.
The building comprises 18,500 sq ft to include integrated offices, 30 car parking spaces, and separate loading to the rear. The 10 year lease incorporates a Tenant break option after 5 years, and a headline rent which reflects £6.50 per sq ft per annum. Hermes were represented by bdt and Hollis Hockley.
Habitech are a leading distributor of Home Entertainment and Home Automation Products. They supply principally to the trade industry and to property developers who subsequently install the electronic equipment and gadgetry into new build homes.
The acquisition of Unit K at Loddon, will see Habitech relocate existed operations and staff from Alton. Their Operations Manager, Casper Sims, said: “We are looking forward to housing the company at The Loddon Centre, and Unit K will provide us with excellent prominence onto Wade Road. One of our first priorities will be to install a stand alone demonstration facility within the warehouse”.
Richard Thomas added: “This is a great deal for both parties. From Hermes view point it provides them with a new high profile tenant at the entrance to the estate”.
