The private buyer’s identity remains undisclosed at this stage, but we understand that the existing building is likely to be modified and put to an alternative commercial use following planning discussions. Richard Thomas, agency partner at BDT commented …. “This certainly wasn’t your run of the mill property, but as is so often the case, a rather quirky freehold opportunity attracted some serious interest from half a dozen parties, and resulted in a best offers scenario”.”Whilst the prospects for a residential redevelopment will most likely improve in time, it will be good to see the building continue to be used for commercial use in the immediate future.”The building comprises approx. 25,000 (2,300 sq m) of floor space on a site area of around 3.5 acres.- ENDS -Contact for further information:Richard ThomasbdtE-mail: richard.thomas@bdt.uk.comTelephone: 01256 840 777
